OUR MISSION

Tuckston UMC Children’s Ministry provides a safe environment where children can be filled with God’s grace, expand their knowledge of the Bible, and grow into life-long Christians. Our ministry promotes unconditional love, outreach and service while inspiring families to be witnesses for Christ.

Sunday School

Preschool (ages 2 through 4)

• Sunday School at 9:30-10:45

Our teachers help preschoolers begin to build a lifelong faith through Bible stories, crafts, and other activities as they use Rock Solid curriculum.

• Wednesday evenings, from 6:15-7:30, our 3 & 4 year olds are learning about our Heroes of the Faith.  Childcare is provided for infants through 2 year olds.

School-aged Children – Kindergarten through 6th grade

Each Sunday morning, our teachers help our children experience God’s Word in fun and life-changing ways.

• 9:30-10:45 AM, Family Life Center

Our children participate in a small Group/large group time using 252 Basics:  “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52) There are three core teachings underlying each lesson. 1) I need to make the wise choice. 2) I can trust God no matter what. 3) I should treat others the way I want to be treated. Each month, the lessons focus on a particular virtue.

• 11 AM-12 Noon, Family Life Center

   K-3rd: Kid’s Own Worship

   4th -6th: Tweens in Transition

Club 56

This ministry is designed for 5th and 6th graders.  We offer Sunday School at 9:30 and 11:00 and a Wednesday evening program from 6:15-7:30 PM. Club 56 members also participate in special activities and service projects throughout the year. 

Worship

We encourage you to join us for worship as a family at 8:30, 9:30, or 11 AM. We have a time just for children at 11 AM. After Children’s Moments, our young children, Kindergarten through 2nd grade is dismissed to Rainbow Kids. Our Children’s Choir sings on various occasions throughout the year. Our children help us with the celebration of Palm Sunday. and also lead in worship on Children’s Sunday.

Following the Children’s Moments during 11 AM worship, children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade are dismissed to Rainbow Kids where they continue to worship and experience God’s promises through age-appropriate activities.

Children’s Choirs

Children in Pre-K through 6th grade are invited to join Mrs. Anna Crook and Ms. Kim Fuller each Sunday evening from 5-6:00 PM as together they sing praises to God.

Mission Possible Kids

Our agents (aka children in Kindergarten through 6th grade) are out to change the world as they complete missions that provide help and demonstrate God’s love to persons in our community and around the world.
