Mission Statement
Tuckston United Methodist Church is a body of believers in Jesus Christ which,
by the power of God’s Holy Spirit, reaches out in love as God loves, nurtures
the spiritual growth of all people, serves those in need, and witnesses to
others to bring them into the saving love of Christ.
Brief History
Tuckston United Methodist Church seeks to follow God and keep God at the center
of everything it does. Today’s church started with the vision of a few in 1889
when John and Elizabeth Tuck, along with a small group of others, invited local
families to meetings in the schoolhouse they had established. Little could
those founders have known that the organization of faith and outreach they
began more than 100 years ago would grow into the vibrant, loving place of
worship that it is today and is preparing to be in the future.
Grow in Faith and
Fellowship
From four different worship services, to Sunday School, to special bible
studies and Christian renewal classes, Tuckston offers a diverse range of faith
enrichment options for children, youth and adults.
Outreach and Opportunities
The members of Tuckston United Methodist Church are engaged in an active
outreach program – whether it is loving and caring for one another or offering
activities which nurture spiritual growth and ministry in a wide variety of
ways.
