Feb.24th:  Nothing but Nets

Did you know that one child dies in Africa from Malaria every 30 seconds?  Malaria is the number one cause of death in children, but not efforts are underway to change that. The United Methodist Church has partnered with several other organizations with the goal of stamping out this deadly disease.  All it takes is a $10 insecticide-treated bed net to save a family of four.  This mission presents an opportunity for agents to say their work has truly saved lives.

What to bring: Begin saving money to purchase a bed net for Nothing but Nets.

Mar 3rd:  Surprise!

Mar 10th:  Project Safe “Spring Cleaning”

What to bring: We are asking for donations of gently used books and toys to give to those in need.

Mar 17th:  Lenten Bags for the Sparrows Nest

Most of us are blessed with having a meal every day, in fact 3 times a day. It is important to remind our agents of those families who struggle daily to put food on the table.  Our agents are going to provide bags of food to the Sparrow’s Nest in Athens.

Mar 24th:  Basketball Game for Nothing but Nets

Come join us, parents, for a game of basketball as we raise money for Nothing but Nets.  This global project has the goal of ending malaria in Africa.
