The Flowers are placed on the chancel this morning in honor of Danny and Gwen Lott’s 40th wedding anniversary.
The Rosebud is placed on the chancel today to celebrate the birth of Anna Shi McLean on June 4, 2008. She is the daughter of Stuart and Beth McLean and sister of Kate McLean.
Our Christian Love and Sympathy surrounds the family of Nina Eberhart on her death.
Our Christian Love and Sympathy surrounds Linda Smith on the death of her sister and Selyn Wray on the death of her aunt, Ann McDaniel.
The Brazil Team would like to say thanks so much for your support these past three Sundays in buying biscuits. Your support has paid for registration fees and insurance with the United Methodist Volunteer Mission Project. Thank you again!
Prayer Shawl Ministry – Do you enjoy knitting or crocheting (or want to learn how)? A new ministry is starting at Tuckston – a Prayer Shawl Ministry. Prayer shawls knitted or crocheted and presented to individuals in need of comfort or healing. The recipients of the shawls are prayed for during the making of the shawl. We hope to present shawls to our shut-ins, our ill, and others in need. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please join us for an organization meeting on Monday, July 14th at 6:30 in the Pathmakers Classroom. Lee Arrendale Women’s State Prison Transitional Center in the Alto/Cornelia area is asking for donations of used (but in good shape – no holes or tears) jeans, work shirts, and tennis (athletic) shoes. The inmates are in need of work clothes as they go out to their jobs in the community. Especially needed sizes are 12 – 22W. Please bring all donations to Wiley’s office.
Tuckston’s Loaves and Fishes Community Outreach is in need of the following items to restock our food pantry:

Oatmeal Spaghetti Sauce Spaghetti Noodles 2 lbs Grits
Powdered Milk Can Meats (spam, tuna, canned ham, potted meat)
The Senior Citizens Club will meet on Wednesday, July 9th at 11 AM. Please come early if you would like to have your BP checked. The meal will be catered. Please call Gloria Mullins at 706-208-1250 for a reservation.
Tuckston License Plates - The church office has a limited quantity for sale at $5.00 each.
You Are Cordially Invited to our Annual Conference’s Service of Ordination during which Michele May will be ordained. The service will be on Tuesday, June 17th at 7:30 PM at the Athens Classic Center Theatre. A reception will follow honoring those ordained in the Athena Ballroom.
In honor of the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Aubrey and Kate Finch their children and grandchildren request the pleasure of your company at a reception on Sunday, June 29, 2008 from 3-5:00 PM in the fellowship hall here at Tuckston.
The Children's Ministry of Tuckston UMC invites you and your family to come be a part of some special summer activities.
