Bible Basics -- An eight week Old Testament overview followed by an eight week New Testament overview.

New Believers -- A class for those wishing to learn the basics and the expectations of living out your Christian faith.

Methodism 101 -- for those who wish to learn what is unique about the way United Methodist live out their faith and why.

Parenting Lessons – each week for sixteen weeks a different topic will be taught on parenting from types of parenting to practical skills and techniques to use with your child.

Going Deeper -- a spiritual growth class, designed to study of the attributes of God using the Bible and A. W. Tozer’s book, “Knowledge of the Holy.”

Make your plans now to be part of this exciting opportunity in your church.

Bethlehem Market Place
BMP is a recreation of the time and events surrounding the birth of Christ in order to bring the Christ story come alive in the 21st century.

The reward for BMP can be seen in the faces of the children that visit. It is a chance to reach out and share the story of Jesus Christ in a unique way.

If Bethlehem Market Place is to continue at Tuckston, we need some one to step in and take charge. This means hearing a calling from God and making a commitment to follow through on all aspects of the event. We have ample workers to make BMP happen but we need someone who has a vision for the event, can organize everyone and create enthusiasm in the congregation.

Areas that have to be organized and individuals recruited to lead are:
1) Publicity
2) Cast recruitment
3) Set construction
4) Set decoration
5) Food for the food shop
6) Costumes
7) Tear down and Clean-up

We have the set and costumes in storage. If you have any questions you can call Mike Williams at 706-743-8473.

Please call and let the office know if you have a calling or interest to lead this event and we will call you back with more details. 706-353-1311.

YOUTH STUPH
Wow, what a fast Summer we’ve had!  It’s been filled with inspiring and touching mission trips, fun excursions, and weekly events that foster fellowship among our students.  However, it’s not quite over yet!!!!

Upcoming Summer Events for Students & Parents:
July 27 – Sizzlin’ Summer Sunday
July 30 – Braves Game
Aug   3 – LAST Sizzlin’ Summer Sunday
Aug   9 – Six Flags w/ Back to School Christian Concerts
Aug  10 – Mandatory PARENTS Meeting @ TUMC
Aug  13 – Promotion Commotion for our Rising 7th Graders

Aug  17 – The Harbor – Kickoff Celebration!
Aug  2 –Wednesday Night Discipleship–Kickoff Celebration!

Fall Line-up:
This Fall there are two changes to note for HS & MS students and parents.  Sunday night will now be for both HS & MS students.  There will be no change in the event format.  It will begin at 5:30 and will end at 8:00.  We will talk more about this at our Mandatory Parents Meeting on August 10th.

Secondly, you may be asking yourself, “What’s going to be offered on Wednesday Night then?”  I’m so glad you asked!  The Wednesday Night program will not only encompass Middle Schoolers but also High Schoolers.  Our church believes strongly in the call to train up disciples for Christ.  Our youth program is no different from the rest of the church.  We will now be offering a diversified and exciting set of events that will emphasize one or more of five different themes: Prayer, Worship, Study, Service, and Accountability.  These actions are the cornerstones of a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  In addition, our Wednesday Night program will be a more intimate time of growth and discipleship with our leaders.  We are very excited about what God can do through us when we devote our time to Prayer, Worship, Study, Service, and Accountability.  I can’t wait to talk more with you about this at the Mandatory Parents Meeting on August 10th!!!!

Closing Thoughts:
This Summer has been a great time for our students to become spiritually filled through mission trips, gain new friendships through fun events, stretch themselves through service, and to grow in their Faith through mentors who give of their Prayers, their Presence, their Gifts, and their Service in serving Jesus Christ right here in our Tuckston UMC youth group!

God Bless,
stephen
