Dear Parents,

If you haven’t heard we have made some changes to our Children’s Program on Wednesday evening.  We will still be doing a different missions project each week and continuing to focus on being in service to others.  We have named our new program FISH, which stands for: Fully In Service 2 Him.

Thank you for letting your kids participate in FISH!  I have including a schedule on the back of this letter so that you’ll know what to expect.  I also will be sending out weekly emails to remind you of what we did that evening and what is to come with FISH.  I will include the scripture that we focused on that evening and also how many people we have helped through our projects.  If you are not receiving the FISH emails from me, please leave your email address with me on a Wednesday evening, or email me directly and ask to be added to our list.

Our overall schedule for the evening will be to be in the gym area for sign in and a quick game then we’ll move into our classrooms to go over the scripture that evening, directions and to do our projects.  We will keep a chart in the gym marking how many projects each person has participated in, and after 5 projects each person will get a reward.  Each child will get an extra sticker for bringing a friend; so make sure that we know if someone is your guest for the evening.  I also want to tell you that after hearing some feedback from parents we will not be getting t-shirts at this time, so no need to keep up with iron-on stars!  If there is a desire in the future we may do t-shirts, so if you would like for us to think about that, please let me know.

I would like to give you a few reminders:  We begin each night at 6:15 and end at 7:30.  Please don’t drop your children off before the adults are there and ready and please be mindful that you pick them up on time.  You also will need to sign you children in and out each night, so please do not just send them in on their own.  Club 56 students are allowed to sign themselves in, unless we are leaving campus, but still must be signed out by an adult each evening.

The schedule of projects is on the back of this letter, but I want to draw your attention to a few things we’ll be collecting this fall.  We will be collecting money each week to provide a Thanksgiving Meal for a local family.  The month of September we’ll be collecting jars of peanut butter to give to the NorthEast GA Food Bank.  Bring in regular sized (not family sized) jars of peanut butter for us before September 26th.  We have two field trips scheduled.  We will be taking the Church bus for these events, but if your child needs a booster seat, you should send it with them.

Please contact me if you have questions by email: julia@tuckston.org or calling the church office: (706)-353-1311.

       In Christ
