Angel Tree Project & Potato Bar Fundraiser Dinner!

This Winter, Tuckston Youth will be participating in the Angel Tree Service
Project raising money to purchase gifts for kids whose parent/s are in prison.

Here's how it will work.

Potato Bar Fundraiser Dinner:

  1. Students will be asked to help participate in the Potato Bar Fundraiser Dinner on December 2nd at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.
  2. Students will help set-up, prepare food, serve drinks, welcome, and clean up after the dinner. We ask that students be at the church at 3:30pm to help with the preparation.
  3. Needed: 4-6 Families to provide the Chili (may be prepared at home or at the church) & 8-10 families to provide the salad (4 Regular, 2 Fruit, 2+ Other, may be prepared at home or at the church)

Angel Tree Service Project:

  1. Church members will take a "Angel" off of the tree in the narthex. Each of these Angels have a designated amount on them ranging from $1-$50.
  2. Church members will bring these cards (the Angels) along with their monetary donation to the Potato Bar Dinner on the 2nd.
  3. Students are assigned families/children by through their small groups and will be responsible for purchasing the presents. We will do this on Sunday, December 16th right after the service.
  4. We will all eat at (TBD) and then head off to Walmart to purchase the gifts. We will then return to Tuckston to wrap and prepare the gifts.
  5. We expect to be back at TUMC around 3pm.
