A.I.R.S.

AIRS provides activities for people with disabilities. They strive to make the impossible possible through adapted sports.

UGA Weasley Foundation

The UGA Wesley Foundation is a place where students can encounter God,  engage in life-giving community, and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. They believe in creating an environment where students can have authentic encounters with Jesus, discover their gifts, and use them for God's glory.

Habitat for Humanity

Provides strength, stability, & self-reliance through shelter in Clarke, Oconee, & Oglethorpe counties

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

FCA’s mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Athens Nurses' Clinic

The Athens Nurses Clinic is a non-profit safety-net health care clinic providing free evaluation, treatment and education for acute and chronic medical and dental conditions to low income uninsured residents of Athens-Clarke County and the surrounding counties.

The Salvation Army Athens

The Salvation Army is  there for the most vulnerable in our community:  those whose wages are gone, those who need food, those who have no place to call home, and so many others who desperately need help and hope.  All donations stay in the community.

Red Cross

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.​

Athens Pregnancy Center

They work to empower women & men facing pregnancy decisions. Compassionate, trained staff and volunteers will talk through options and are here to answer any questions.

Athens Community Council on Aging  

ACCA's one critical mission during the pandemic is that no senior will be left behind. ACCA's focuses are food and basic needs, security checks and virtual social connections.

Kids First

Kids First is a 501 (c)(3) organization that seeks to share God’s immense love with others through outreach in Athens, GA and Jamaica.

The Ark

The Ark provides emergency financial assistance, financial education, and asset building programs to low income working families when they are faced with an unexpected financial crisis.  

Food Bank of Northeast Georgia

The Northeast Georgia Food Bank distributes food to those in need through partner agencies, mobile pantry events, and community programs throughout the area. Every $1 donated buys 4 meals.

Our Daily Bread

Our Daily Bread Community Kitchen normally serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday for anyone who needs a meal.

Scouting is fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.

Bigger Vision 

Bigger Vision of Athens is a 34-bed shelter for homeless men and women open 365 days of the year.  Currently, it cannot open with services as usual, but has sack meals outside and provides coats, scarves and blankets.  It is working to open its shower and laundry facilities on appointment while identifying other areas of support.

United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)

UMCOR provides relief, response and long-term recovery grants when events overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on their own.

Mercy Clinic

Mercy Clinic is a Christian health clinic providing free medical, dental, pharmacy and health education to the low-income uninsured of Clarke, Barrow, Jackson, Madison, Oglethorpe & Oconee counties.

The Sparrow's Nest

The Sparrow's Nest is a Christian ministry serving those in need in the Athens, GA area.

Family Promise

(Formerly the Interfaith Hospitality Network) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide immediate shelter and guidance to families with children who are experiencing the crisis of homelessness.

Athens Homeless Shelter

AAHS currently shelters 11 homeless families with children as they transition out of homelessness, as they access resources to help them become economically self-sufficient.

Athens Area Emergency Food Bank

The AAEFB's purpose is to meet the food needs for one week for families or individuals who live in Athens-Clarke County and are faced with emergencies.  They must be referred by an approved agency.

Project Safe

Project Safe works to end domestic violence through crisis intervention, ongoing supportive services, systems change advocacy, and prevention and education. Today our services range from short term crisis counseling on the hot-line to long term support through our Follow Up and Transitional Housing programs.
